Calligraphy is the art of line and space framed within the physical and technical limitations of a person, time and place. This series of workshops will introduce three main styles of calligraphy: Chinese, Persian and Latin.
The workshops will be held in the beautiful, calm studio of the Association Calligraphie, the only professional calligraphy studio in Paris, hidden away down a quiet passage in the heart of the city. The studio is fully equipped, all materials for the courses are provided, and students can benefit from a library stocked with English language books on all aspects of the subject. The association also holds frequent lectures, conferences, performance and exhibitions, including those of students work.
