Whether you are an experienced artist or simply long to try your hand at learning to draw, WICE's selection of drawing classes will certainly appeal to you. In 'Drawing out the Artist in You', Claude Pollack introduces drawing basics in a series of engaging, progressive exercises that will build your confidence and enhance the way you look at life. In her popular 'Paris Sketchbook' class, students meet in various locations and discover the city as they create their own sketch journal of their experiences.
Newcomers and advanced students rave about Jan Olsson's painting and drawing classes. She shares her spacious studio in the 15th with students attending WICE's well-loved 'Life Drawing' sessions. Meeting every Tuesday morning throughout the year, the class hums with energy as models pose and Jan leads in such a way that each person can work at their own level. Clothed or nude, models are selected not only for their professional skills, but for their willingness to participate in the creative energy of the studio as it comes alive with the intense focus of learning to see and to render the features of a face, describe a body in motion, and express one's self through the most compelling subject of all, the human form. It all happens in the warm and cheerful environment of the artist's studio where students share with one another while enjoying Jan's encouragement and support.
