Situated in the north-east of Paris, the Parc des Buttes Chaumont is one of the largest green-spaces of the capital. Steep and hilly, this landmark was created on quarries which explain its conception and its layout. The garden offers a diversity of sightseeings : caves, rocks, waterfalls, kioks, restaurants not to mention the amazing view from the heights. Nearby is a haven named ‘la mouzaia’, famous for its charming houses bordered with garden, its villas and small streets. Did you know that the district used to be named ‘the American quarry’ as stones were exported to Washington to build the White House ! Join us on this charming walk with our guide Catherine !
