Meet the Author

Ruth Druart’s debut novel is a remarkable story of two families whose lives become intertwined in Occupied Paris during the Second World War.

It is the tale of two sets of parents loving one child as their own son and desperate to do the best for him.

While Paris Slept has been described as a shocking but powerful tribute to human endurance and self-sacrifice but also a reminder of the legacy of crimes committed in wartime.

While Paris Slept has been translated into 18 languages and published in 20 countries.

Ruth Druart will be joining Bilingual Book Group by remote to talk about her work and the craft of fiction.
