A Parallel Vertical TastingCredit: Meredith Mullins

In the wine world, a vertical tasting is the name given when we taste a single wine from a single vintner back through several vintages.

It's fascinating to glimpse a particular wine in different phases of its evolution and to see how even slight climatic changes from year to year can transform its character. This fascination is tripled when said wine is placed right next to one of its close cousins-- we begin to get a sense of how radically unique the destiny of each well-made wine really is.

Come join us and take a look back at what happened and what is happening with two excellent Red Rhône wines--one ‘Northern’ and one  ‘Southern’-- in key years over the last decade.

Note: We are considering these “Parallel Vertical” classes advanced classes in that we ask that you have already taken one class with our instructor, Tom Boothe, before signing up for this one. Why not take "A Tasting Tour of The Rhône Valley"?

Instructor: Thomas Boothe's extensive knowledge and passion for wine make him a popular, one-of-a-kind instructor. His innovative teaching style has been fueled through work and study in a variety of wine-related fields.
