WICE Online - Activities and Support


Here at WICE, the team is working to try and move as many of our courses as possible online to try and provide continuity to our members here in Paris during the current lock-down period. We are also planning to run a number of online Apero's and short talks to provide our members with community and interesting conversation during the coming weeks.

WICE is taking action to protect the safety of our community. Starting Monday the 16th March in line with French Schools and Universities the WICE office will be closed and all in person classes and social activities during this period will be postponed. 

We are working with our instructors to offer remote learning classes wherever possible. Students will receive individual emails about what is happening to the classes they are registered for. We appreciate your flexibility and cooperation during this challenging period. If you have any questions or concerns we will stay connected at wice@wice-paris.org and at 01 45 66 75 50 during regular business hours.

Zoom Video-Conferencing Tool


Getting Started

You do not have to have a Zoom account to attend a Zoom meeting. You will be prompted to download the software, once you have clicked on the link that you have been provided. You may also wish to create an account, but that is not required to participate in a Zoom meeting.

Important: You will need a computer, smartphone or other device with a webcam and microphone to participate in a Zoom session.

If you do not wish to have an account, all you’ll need to do to participate is click on the link for the class that your contact will send to you via an email invitation.

Step 1: Click on the link provided in the email.

Step 2: Download the Zoom Desktop Client. Simply follow the prompts to download the correct Zoom desktop client for your computer and operating system.

Step 3: Your Zoom Desktop Client will download. You will then need to install the client. Note that you may also download clients for IOS and Android devices.

Step 4: Once you have downloaded the desktop client, you can now join the meeting.

Important: You may have to click on the link again in the email to connect to the meeting, once you have installed the client.

Vous n'avez pas besoin d'avoir un compte Zoom pour assister à une réunion ou un entretien Zoom. Vous serez invité à télécharger le logiciel, une fois que vous aurez cliqué sur le lien qui vous a été fourni. Vous pouvez également souhaiter créer un compte, mais cela n'est pas obligatoire pour participer à une réunion Zoom.

Important: vous aurez besoin d'un ordinateur, d'un smartphone ou d'un autre appareil avec webcam et microphone pour participer à une session Zoom.

Si vous ne souhaitez pas avoir de compte, il vous suffit de cliquer sur le lien du cours que votre contact vous enverra via une invitation par e-mail pour participer.

Étape 1: Cliquez sur le lien fourni dans l'e-mail.

Étape 2: Téléchargez Zoom Desktop Client. Suivez simplement les invites pour télécharger le client de bureau Zoom approprié pour votre ordinateur et votre système d'exploitation.

Étape 3: votre client Zoom Desktop sera téléchargé. Vous devrez ensuite installer le client. Notez que vous pouvez également télécharger des clients pour les appareils IOS et Android.

Étape 4: Une fois que vous avez téléchargé le client de bureau, vous pouvez maintenant rejoindre la réunion.

Important: vous devrez peut-être cliquer à nouveau sur le lien dans l'e-mail pour vous connecter à la réunion, une fois le client installé.
