Upon receipt of your completed application, our Volunteer Department will contact you to schedule an informal interview. At that point we will discuss your interests, talents and availability, as well as what opportunities are available at the time. Job-specific training will be provided on-site.

Events Manager

 

You will be part of the Marketing department.

 

Tasks:

  • Plan, organize, coordinate and promote the WICE Open House and/or Spring Launch which

take place in Spring and Fall

  • Promote WICE at local events in September in the current year to October the following

year (4-7 events)

  • Input event information on the WICE website
  • Keep track of event attendance data and produce short reports for larger events
  • Assist with related event marketing tasks as needed

Start/End Date of Position:

Open House: Must be available full-time in September and at least on a part- time basis in late August and early October. Candidates wishing to continue volunteering after this time may do so.

Spring Launch: Must be available on a part- time basis in January and February. Candidates wishing to continue volunteering after this time may do so.

New Volunteer Positions

WICE is seeking an individual with some experience in the use of Social Media in a business environment Are you available for 3-6 hours a weeks and able to commit for a minimum of 3 months with 6 months commitment preferred. Main duties are: Determine which social media channels are relevant to the organization (Facebook, Twitter, Flickr/Instagram, etc.), and post on these regularly Respond appropriately in a timely manner to comments made to the social media channels and encourage commenting and sharing of content

We are seeking discussion group facilitators in, English, French, German and Spanish!

It is a great opportunity to bring together a group of people and discuss a topic of the day whilst helping WICE members to develop and improve their language skills in a friendly and supportive environment.

The Content Creator is responsible in helping drive the creative strategy of WICE. You should be passionate about creativity and communicating the organization with a clean, clear, and fun approach.

With direction from the Marketing Manager and in collaboration with a team, you will help to execute the strategic vision of the organisation.

The designer will develop and produce both print and web materials that promote our goals. This includes but is not limited to: web pages, print and online ads, web banners, email blasts, brochures, and newsletters.

WICE recherche un(e) bénévole anglophone pour organiser et guider ses volontaires novices dans la pratique de pétanque. L'idée est de se réunir en anglais, une ou deux fois par mois, et profiter du jeu traditionnel des boules tout en partageant un verre de vin et ses accompagnements. Ce jeu passionnant n’est pas bien connu par la plupart des expatriés. Donc, si vous connaissez les règles du jeu et que vous pouvez passer du temps à entraîner un groupe d’anglophones enthousiastes et compétitifs, contactez-nous. Nous vous promettons de travailler votre anglais et de vous amuser.

Accounting Assistant is part of the Finance & Accounting Team, working with the Financial Controller, Treasurer and other Finance Team Members, and WICE Office staff. This position is responsible for export of Wild Apricot data and import into Quickbooks accounting system in an accurate and timely manner. This accounting data that will be used to keep Management informed of WICE revenue.

EMT with working French, organized, autonomous, responsible administrative candidate to work directly with the WICE Office Manager on core business functions, including confidential database and financial operations. Special projects as required. GDPR training will be provided. Must be available starting in July for shadow training. From September, the OA will personally maintain WICE hours on Wednesdays from 10h-15h. Occasional event support is requested. Google suite knowledge required. Strong communication skills, and an interest in dedicated volunteering to build or exercise a professional profile are imperative. Join us!

PLEASE NOTE:

  • WICE membership is required for all volunteer roles.
  • Please apply only if you are living in Paris.
  • A commit of six months in required for each position. Ideally, the candidate can commit one year.
  • Time commitment required for each position varies. On average, 5-8 hours each week are required with some availability necessary during business hours.
  • Some work may be completed remotely, but time on-site will also be required.
  • The WICE office is closed during July and August.
