We would like to give a special mention to our Development Director, Felicity Pritchard-Witts.
By “development,” we mean fundraising events and donation drives. Until last year, WICE did not have anyone doing either of these on a dedicated basis, at least in recent memory. And then along came Felicity. . .
Felicity walked into the job cold, not quite a year ago. But she hit the ground running, and has been a force of nature in development since then. Specifically, she:
- Created and oversaw our hugely successful donation drive in June last year, in which we almost doubled our fundraising target of €5,000.
- Coordinated our equally successful American Revolution in Paris fundraiser in November. This involved four weekly talks and initially three weekly walks around Paris. Due to her hard work and dedication, we ended up adding a second set of walks to meet the high demand.
- Conceived and coordinated our first wine tasting fund raiser in December. That, too, was an unheralded success, so much so that we are having another similar event in March involving sparkling wines.
WICE is an all-volunteer association made up of people like Felicity, who bring their imagination and life experiences to creating interesting and enjoyable events for you. Well done, Felicity, and thank you from all of us!
