One of the great rewards of photography is being able to share your work with others. This workshop will focus on how to prepare your images for exhibition, in a gallery or in a more familiar setting.

You will learn the preparation of digital files for printing using Photoshop, iPhoto, or Lightroom; choices for size and format; the selection of the printing medium (types of papers, surfaces, and other materials to print on such as wood, aluminum, and canvas); matting; and framing. You will also discuss things to keep in mind when approaching a gallery or a collector with your work.

Students can expect to:

  • Learn how to prepare digital files for printing
  • Learn the process of preparing for an exhibition: from digital file to print to framing
  • Come away with the knowledge that your photographs are an art form to be respected
