Cocktail hour at the posh Café Marly, Palais du Louvre, followed by our evening visit to the Rhodes Exhibition at the Louvre

Friday, 30 January 2015
6:30 PM - 8:30 PM

Open to WICE Members. No admission charge to the Louvre for WICE members with Amis du Louvre cards and the person accompanying them.  Attendees will also be required to purchase their own drinks.

Come enjoy a drink with us at the Café Marly, a chic and very Parisian venue with its Napoleon III dining rooms that offers a stunning view of the Louvre pyramid. Wendy will briefly tell you about her recent visit to Rhodes on an exciting Greek cruise and introduce the exhibition with a game and chance to win a prize. Then we will start on our visit of the Rhodes exhibition at the Richelieu Wing of the Louvre. Here you will go back in time to 14th and 6th centuries BC and admire gold and silver jewelry and faience with an Oriental influence, thanks to an uninterrupted history of excavations. So come and enjoy a drink with us before exploring the land of trade in the Eastern Mediterranean!

A few spaces left! Registration extended until 28 January!

Social Gathering Coordinator: Wendy Dubreuil holds a BA in French with a Masters in International Studies from the American University in Washington, D.C. and is a true Francophile married to a French man.
