Workshops by Nancy Jochimek & Alastair Arthur
We will review the various types of photography applications from the basic to the more advanced that can be used to create great photos and share them with family, friends, customers, clients or for community development. We will then discuss the importance of storytelling to achieving effective online communication regardless whether you want to just share with family or friends or develop an online community for a new business idea or personal brand. You will learn the different ways you can build your story both with photos and text.
For the second half of the workshop we will get practical and head out on a photowalk to Notre Dame and Ile Saint-Louis. We will present you with a few creative exercises that you can explore on the walk that will further help you with story development. We will answer such questions as how to tell a visual story about food, dining out, meeting a new friend, discovering a new place, new products a company is selling, what you did or learned today etc. We will then regroup at a local café for a cup of coffee and to review your photos together.
NOTE: While this is a four-part series, you can register for any workshop. Each workshop is designed to provide an overall understanding of smart cameras from various perspectives. We have prepared indoor photo walk locations in the event of heavy rain. In the event of drizzle, we will not change the location given the beautiful effect of rain in photography. Drinks at the cafe are not included in the workshop cost.
Please bring either your smartphone or tablet to each seminar. Both Apple and Android devices are welcome.
