Paris is a city made for exploration and discovery. No matter how many days, months, or years you have been here, there are always new subjects to discover and secrets to unearth in every part of Paris.
In this course we will practice, practice, practice the art and technique of photography by exploring the city, from the known to the unknown, from lively quartiers to tranquil corners, from traditional Paris to the 21st century. Join us as we discover the real Paris via our own personal artistic perspective.
Each class will start in a café of the chosen quartier to discuss the photo lessons of the session. You’ll explore the area on a mission to really see the light, colors, characters, details, lines, forms, and shapes. You’ll get hands-on practice with your camera and have your questions answered on the spot. At the end of each class, you’ll review the images from the previous week’s expedition to learn from the successes and challenges.
Students can expect to:
Become more familiar with their camera
Learn about exposure, composition, and how to engage their subjects
Have their technical questions answered directly
Participate in a friendly critique session of their work
