This course will explore the possibilities of meter in English poetry, from iambic pentameter to quantitative meters (alcaics and sapphics, for example)  to syllabic forms.

Requirements: Submit 5-10 poems, totaling no more than 10 pages, by Friday, 31 May 2016.  See the Manuscript Submission Guidelines page of the Paris Writers' Workshop website for more details.

This course is a part of Paris Writers' Workshop, a week-long program that includes a mandatory Registration Reception on Sunday, 26 June. For more information about the program, please visit www.pariswritersworkshop.org.

Agent Consultation: Your registration automatically entitles you to a one-on-one consultation with your workshop faculty member. However, if you wish to have a one-on-one consultation with a literary agent, please register for that separately (PWU301 Literary Agent Consultation).  Agent consultations are 60 euros for PWW participants.

Literary Dinner: If you would like to attend the literary dinner, please register for that separately as well (PWL012 Literary Dinner).  Dinner rates for participants and their guests are 50 euros per person.
