The ‘Cercle France Amériques' is a private association which aims to promote the relationship between France and North America. It was founded in 1909 by Gabriel Hanotaux, former Foreign Affairs minister.
Ideally located near the Champs Elysees and set in the beautiful private mansion called Hotel Le Marois, it was once inhabited by the famous courtesan, Marie Duplessis (the famous Dame aux Camélias who inspired Alexandre Dumas’s son).
Come and discover this truly exceptional mansion and its sumptuous reception rooms, located in one of the most elegant districts of Paris and learn more about its famous inhabitants.
Instructor: Catherine Estivalezes holds a PHD in British and American Studies from the Sorbonne and has been involved for years in a foundation for promoting contemporary art, before getting back to Art History studies. She has several years of experience in guiding, including districts, monuments, museums, and temporary exhibitions. She also coordinates several tours all over Europe.
