For more 30 years Helène and Guy MOTAIS DE NARBONNE , a Parisian couple,  have passionately  built a magnificent collection of works by Italian and French 17th and 18th century painters .  This private collection of 40 works was exhibited at the Louvre Museum in an exclusive exhibition in 2010 and the owners even donated to the Louvre two of their paintings which are now part of its permanent exhibition.  Most of the paintings portray religious or mythological subjects.  Some of them are by artists already well represented at the Louvre, such as Bourdon, Le Brun, Boucher, Subleyras, Creti, Giordano and Preti.

This couple is eager to share their collection with art history students, curators and art lovers and to tell the story of each work in the building up of their collection.

Do not miss this private visit in the couple’s private home near Trocadero.
