This workshop is aimed at those who are interested in learning about all of the possibilities that studio photography offers.
You will discover different studio flash lighting techniques to make beautiful portraits, still lifes or anything else that you have in mind!
A model will be provided for you to shoot during the session, advice on directing the model and posing techniques will be given. We will also practice how to shoot objects and food and how to compose a creative still life.
You will be shown the effect of umbrellas, soft boxes and how to use reflectors. Students also will learn how to use both hard and soft lighting to change the effect of a portrait.
The teaching is presented in an easy-to-understand and entertaining way within a small group.

A camera that can be set in manual mode
Suitable for those who already have mastered manual mode

About the Instructor: Juan Manuel Abellán graduated in Advertising and Visual Arts and holds a Master in Contemporary Photography. He has worked with the agency Magnum Photo and exhibited his work in several exhibitions, including at the Centre Georges Pompidou. Passionate about photography, Juan Manuel works as a freelance photographer with a specialization in portrait, reportage and fine art photography. He looks forward to sharing his secrets with WICE members.
