This workshop is aimed to those who want to master the studio lighting techniques.

 

What you are going to learn?:

  • Master the professional equipment of the photography studio

  • Master all the different kinds of studio lighting

  • Flash, power and generator

  • Create/set up your own lighting and atmosphere for your pictures

  • Use the professional studio accessories (light box, reflector, honeycomb grid, etc.)

  • Studio photo-shooting with model

 

What is the program?:

  • Theory: In this first part of the workshop you will learn how to use all the studio equipment: generators, light boxes, backdrop (grey, black, white, colour), etc.

  • Practice: Now it will be your turn to do your thing. You will have the opportunity to take pictures using different lighting and backdrops, to create your own unique atmosphere

  • Analyze: The instructor will analyze your pictures and give you important professional secrets to improve your studio photography style

 

 

About the Instructor: Juan Manuel Abellán graduated in Advertising and Visual Arts and holds a Masters in Contemporary Photography.  He has worked with the agency Magnum Photo and exhibited his work in several exhibitions, including at the Centre Georges Pompidou.  Passionate about photography, Juan Manuel works as a freelance photographer with a specialization in portrait, dance and fine art photography.  He looks forward to sharing his secrets with WICE members.
