Intrigued by the variety of modes and settings on your camera?  Get away from the simple choice of shooting in automatic mode by mastering when to use the manual settings.

This in-depth course explores the manual mode factors of ISO, shutter speed, and aperture.  You'll analyze the interaction among them and learn when to apply the manual mode settings.  Classes begin with an explanation of each element and continue with practical work in different lighting conditions.  A review of your images and suggestions will follow.

Students can expect to:

  • Learn about the manual mode settings on their camera

  • Learn about ISO, aperture, shutter speeds, and how to tackle challenging light situations

  • Get hands-on experience with practical assignments

  • Participate in a friendly critique of their work.

Suitable for beginner and intermediate photographers; advanced students also are welcome.  Participants should bring a camera with manual ISO, shutter speed, and aperture settings.
