Do you like to, or would you like to learn to draw?
Enjoy the company of a supportive group as you learn or develop new drawing skills. Individualized instruction designed for all levels of experience includes drawing basics for beginners, plus creative challenges for more experienced participants. A variety of tools (pencil, charcoal, pen and ink, and colored pencil) and techniques (contour line, light and shade, cross hatching, perspective and proportion) are taught along with classic and contemporary approaches to drawing including still-life, landscape, interior, figure, portraiture and abstraction.
This class is suitable for all levels.
The cost of materials for this course will be covered by a €10 supply fee, payable directly to the instructor at the first class. Those who have their own supplies may bring them along to the class.
Registration: When registering for this course you have the option to select all sessions or just those sessions that you wish to attend.
About the Instructor: Jan Olsson holds a Master of Fine Arts degree in Drawing. Since her tenure at Mary Baldwin College in Virginia, Jan has specialized in continuing studio arts education for adults. Visit her professional website and teaching blog.
