Édouard Louis' debut novel is an extraordinary portrait about growing up in a village in northern France.  The End of Eddy explores life there and his escape from a difficult childhood.  Its publication in 2014 sparked fierce debate on social inequality, sexuality and violence.

En finir avec Eddy Bellegueule was shortlisted for the Prix Goncourt literary award for debut novels.

"Un écrivain dont le livre stupéfiant, une fois refermé, nous laisse ébahis, le souffle coupé."  Le nouvel Observateur
