Ready to master that new camera? Wondering how to make those technical controls work to your advantage? Desperate to move beyond “automatic”? Fear not. This workshop will provide the tools you need make sure you and your camera are on friendly terms. You’ll learn about the camera’s technical and creative controls in the comfort of Meredith’s Ile St Louis atelier, then you’ll get hands-on practice in selecting subjects and composing shots as we wander the Ile St Louis and Ile de la Cité. We’ll take a break for lunch at a local bistro and end the day by looking at your images (accompanied by friendly class critique). You’ll also be given a fun assignment for the Part II class to put your new skills into practice.

We welcome everyone to this workshop: working folks, spouses, and teenagers with their parents. So, come alone or with family members. We especially treasure the unique vision that teenagers bring to our classes. Just register your teen when you register yourself (you must be a member of WICE, but your child does not need to be a member).

We also invite you to Part II of this workshop on the following Saturday.

Instructor:  Meredith Mullins is an internationally exhibited photographer and popular photography instructor; a winner of the 2009 Grand Concours Photo sur Paris, 2010 PX3 Competition, and 2010 Worldwide Gala Photo Awards; a finalist for the 2010 Julia Margaret Cameron Award; and author of the award-winning book “In a Paris Moment.”
