High school students are being asked to envision their future —a major, a college, and a career—before they become adults. They and their parents are often overwhelmed, particularly as they navigate the changes brought on by COVID-19. Now more than ever, reframing the college application process to universities in terms of life purpose and leveraging talents to benefit the community not only ensures student well-being but also paves the way for successful college and scholarship applications. 

In this practical talk for parents of teens, we will explore optimal strategies for admissions and scholarships within the framework of life purpose and the post-Covid 21st century job market through case studies, up to date research, and tips for the application process.

About the Presenter

Anjali Maazel is a former Princeton University interviewer, Ted Talk speaker, and founder of Anja Education Consultants, a college guidance and test prep company in Austin, TX. She has successfully guided expat families to universities in the US, Europe, and Canada including Sciences Po, Yale, Cornell, Imperial College London, Stanford, UCLA, Johns Hopkins, UT Austin, Swarthmore, Vanderbilt, and the Rhode Island School of Design.

She and her team work with a limited number of students in order to offer personalized support to each one. As a multi-cultural former expat who obtained a French Bac herself and raised her son in France, she is intimately familiar with French and international schools.

100% of Anjali’s clients to date were admitted to at least one of their top 3 schools and have obtained academic merit and talent-based scholarships averaging $100,000 up to full rides of $276,000.
