Join French-trained Pastry Chef Lisa Allen in an inspired half-day of tart-making fun! She will guide your group through a fully immersive, hands-on experience creating your own French tarts. Each workshop will focus on something unique from the classic French repertoire.


Bake it all from scratch in Lisa’s quaint Parisian apartment. Coffee, tea or hot chocolate will be available to get your hands going, as well as some light savory snacks. Taste your creations ‘sur place’ and/or receive a box to take your personal-sized tarts home. Each participant also receives a detailed recipe and technique sheet, so that you can recreate the magic chez vous!

The Classic Bûche de Noël: December is the month for chocolate, and no French holiday fête table is complete without the classic ‘bûche de Noël,’ or Yule-tide log cake! Create a delicate chocolate sponge with rich fillings, and learn to roll and decorate it into your very own festive cake. Note: This recipe contains dairy.

About the Instructor: Chef Lisa Arielle Allen is an American pâtissière, with an extremely sweet set of teeth! Throughout her life, she has enjoyed making surrounding lives sweeter with homemade treats. After a long, successful career as an International Arts Educator, Lisa is now fully trained in French Pastry by the esteemed Ferrandi école de gastronomie, with additional training in Michelin-starred kitchens, the Callebaut Chocolate Academy, Belloquet among others. Here in Paris she has been running Tarts & Truffles Culinary Consulting since 2017, and managing the DIY Atelier du Chocolat at Edwart Chocolatier since 2018. She is excited to share her love, passion and knowledge for French pastry and chocolate with you!
