Yoga is a state of wholeness.. It is the bringing together - the union of the body, mind and spirit. Yoga is experienced when the activity in the mind is pacified, calmed, quieted - still. Using the breath to connect the mind and body through prescribed exercises (Hatha Yoga), the ability to achieve a meditative state and find harmony within one's self and with others is possible.

About the Instructor: Virginia Williamson has been practicing Yoga for 31 years; teaching in Southwest Florida for 22 years. She holds multiple teaching certifications and has had more than 2200 hours of training, study and practice. She teaches traditional, 'old-school', Classical Yoga, with an emphasis on movements coordinated with breathing. Her instructions are accessible to all practitioners, including beginners. She believes that Yoga supports the nervous system while developing strength and relaxation in the body and calmness in the mind. Students are encouraged to practice according to their own physical, mental and emotional circumstances.
