Join park rangers from Yellowstone National Park in Wyoming, USA for an introduction to the unique landscape and history of the first national park in the United States.
Named a National Park in 1872, Yellowstone is one of the most popular parks in the US, well known for its geothermal features and wildlife. Old Faithful, a geyser that faithfully erupts on a predictable schedule and the thermal hot springs attract millions of visitors each year . In addition to being a National Park, Yellowstone was named a UNESCO World Heritage site in 1978.
Yellowstone National Park preserves an extraordinary collection of hot springs, geysers, mudpots, and fumaroles. More than 10,000 hydrothermal features are found here, of which more than 500 are geysers.
The park is also home to a fascinating variety of animals including Grizzly bear, black bear, wolves, coyotes, elk, bison, moose, big horn sheep and white tailed deer.
