History of French Fashion

French fashion dates back to the reign of King Louis XIV, nicknamed the Sun King. Find out how this eccentric king influenced fashion and how Marie-Antoinette came to become known as a fashion icon. Discover how accessories including the beret and a marinière shirt created a look that is known to be typically French. Join local handbag designer and writer Kasia Dietz on a journey into French fashion to discover how Parisian style has evolved through the years. In this visual presentation, Kasia will also share her tips on Parisian fashion and shopping in Paris.

Kasia Dietz handbags have been featured in Vogue UK, CN Traveler, Travel + Leisure, Marie Claire, Do It in Paris, Hamptons Magazine, and Lonely Planet. Kasia writes about travel, lifestyle, and fashion for magazines and sites including CN Traveller, BBC Travel, Fodor's, Architectural Digest, National Geographic, Fathom, France Today, Bonjour Paris, Thrillist, Hemispheres, Metropolitan, Canadian Traveller, Evening Standard, and The Independent. In addition to offering custom fashion tours in Paris, Kasia launched virtual fashion club Paris à la Mode for those who love Parisian fashion (at an exclusive discount).
