    Wednesdays and Fridays (except Toussaint week);
    22 Sep - 17 Dec (24 sessions)

This program introduces the French language for learners with no or little previous knowledge. It will help you acquire and put into practice the basic foundations of French grammar, vocabulary, and pronunciation techniques. You will develop your French language competencies in areas of writing, speaking, listening, and reading. This program’s use of interactive learner-centered methods facilitates engagement and lasting progress.

Please note that this program is geared for learners new to French with little or no prior knowledge. Meeting twice a week for 90-minutes, this course will be held mostly in French to maximize learner exposure to the target language during the initial stages of the French language acquisition process.

The purpose of this class is to give the students the linguistic skills to get by in their daily life. We focus on pragmatic objectives such as buying food in a shop, interacting with neighbours, expressing health troubles, dealing with the Prefecture (in other words, real life situations).

    This course will resume online only. Details on joining the course via Zoom will be emailed to you before the start of the class. If you would like to test out your internet connection from a computer device before the start of the class you can click on the computer icon above or here

    About the Instructor: Wahiba Khelladi is an experienced French instructor for over a decade. Alongside her WICE courses, Wahiba also teaches for the Mairie de Puteaux.

    Special Instructions: Before registering for the program you may want to check if the level is right for you using the French Placement Test. We recommend that you take this assessment once, without assistance or study aids.
