Join French-trained Pastry Chef Lisa Allen in an inspired half-day of tart-making fun! She will guide your group through a fully immersive, hands-on experience creating your own French tarts. Each workshop will focus on something unique from the classic French repertoire. Bake it all from scratch in Lisa’s quaint Parisian apartment. Coffee, tea or hot chocolate will be available to get your hands going, as well as some light savory snacks. Taste your creations ‘sur place’ and/or receive a box to take your personal-sized tarts home.

This month we will create a Chocolate Caramel Tart. Have you always wondered how to get that smooth, silky texture in a chocolate ganache, or how to make a gooey caramel filling? As Valentine’s Day approaches, warm yourself up and prepare to wow your loved one by learning how to make this decadent chocolate and caramel tart fully from scratch. Note: This recipe contains dairy and eggs, and gluten. Nuts may be optional.

Chef Lisa Arielle Allen is an American teacher turned pâtissier, with an extremely sweet set of teeth! Fully trained as a pastry chef by the esteemed Ferrandi école de gastronomie, with additional training at Callebaut Chocolate Academy, the michelin starred Prince de Galles hotel pastry kitchen, she has also managed the Edwart Chocolate Atelier since early 2018. Chef Lisa has been running her personal company Tarts & Truffles since late 2017, offering a variety of private, bespoke, and public tours and hands-on workshops in Paris.
