Mapmaking takes us back to our favorite places: we remember a coffee we had in a little corner cafe or a lady with a giant pink hat and a tiny little white dog. We walk a map every day - that is how we experience places! This workshop will give you a chance to learn how to put all those memories on your own hand made map - a map made by you. 

  • Learn the basics of illustrating your own map
  • Understand the mapmaking 
  • Piece together your city experience - on paper!
At the end of this experience you will have a perfect memento to put on your wall! 

About the instructor: 

I am Sonja, a mapmaker, visual artist and illustrator. I try to see the world differently— not as a panorama of buildings and landmarks, but as a mosaic of memories and sensations. We leave a bit of ourselves everywhere we go, and embracing that can give us a deeper understanding of where we are now.
