The Italians call it bocce. The Spanish call it bocha. Here it's called pétanque, and if you've walked through a park in Paris, you've seen it being played. It is the quintessential French outdoor activity and a wonderful way to meet people and while away a few hours in almost any of Paris's parks.
Following up on our first highly-successful pétanque class and games a few weeks ago, we will have another session at Place Dauphine, on Île de la Cité, on the afternoon of Tuesday, 13 June. This will include lessons for newcomers (with all equipment provided by WICE). And after the class we hope everyone joins us for coffee or an apéro at one of the local cafés or restaurants.
The session is free for WICE members, but registration is required, and the registration limit is eight people.
If the session is full, please join the waiting list so that we can better plan future sessions.
Not a member? Please send an email to wice@wice-paris.org. We look forward to talking with you.
