If Time Magazine names ChatGPT its "Person of the Year" the next time around, it won't really be a surprise to anyone who's been following the news.
ChatGPT—a popular artificial intelligence entity—has been taking the world by storm. It's used by lawyers to write briefs, programmers to write computer code, marketing departments to write copy, and even the President of WICE uses it to write such things as this event description. So what is it, and how does it work?
In this online class we will discuss the statistical foundations of artificial intelligence (AI) in a way anyone can understand. Then we will move on to large language models, which is the family of AI to which ChatGPT belongs. Finally, we will demonstrate ChatGPT and show attendees how they, too, can use it (both in basic modes and in advanced modes).
Free for WICE members, but registration is required. A Zoom link will be sent before the class.
Registration opens 01 September 2023.
