Course description:

This in-person workshop will provide an instructive and supportive environment for all levels of poets, from the novice to the more established writer.  We will look closely at two or three pieces of your work, and share feedback with the class. Given time, we will also experiment with ways to generate text spontaneously, using exercises to stimulate our creativity, and we will examine different styles and voices of contemporary poets.

Please bring two to three poems (300-400 words total), as well as photocopies for the group. We will confirm the number of photocopies needed closer to the start date.

Instructors:

Barbara Beck has been co-editor of Upstairs at Duroc the Paris-based literary journal since 2002. A translator and poet, her recent publication is (drought), from Estepa Editions, Paris, 2020.
