Course Description:

If you enjoy everyday life stories, people, portrait and urban still life, this workshop is for you. We are surrounded by beauty and stories at every instant and you will learn how to capture these moments and transform them into poetic images. By training your eye and knowing your camera, you get better at finding those "special moments." We will also study the photos of great masters, such as Robert Doisneau, Saul Leiter and Martin Parr. Become a master in story telling.

The class will start with a brief about where we will have the photography lesson of the day. After the brief, we will explore the area while we will practice photography assignments.  A final review of your images and suggestions will follow in a friendly feedback session where we will review and analyze your images.

You can expect to:

  • Learn about composition and exposure in photography.
  • Develop observational skills to catch a moment in a photograph.
  • Get familiar with your camera or smartphone settings.
  • Learn storytelling in photography.
  • Get hands-on experience through practical assignments.
  • Participate in a friendly critique of your work.

Suitable for all levels and all types of cameras, including smartphones.
