As the days grow longer and warmer, trees blossom and bud and Parisian parks become a hub of activity--join us to explore the full flowering of nature in Paris with its many gardens and tree-lined river banks.

Additionally,  draw inspiration from travel and springtime excursions into the countryside by combining your snapshots and postcards while combining drawing and graphic design. Instruction in the design principals of repetition, rhythm, movement and space will train your eye, enhance your knowledge of composition and suggest endlessly creative ways to express the beauty of nature at this colorful and vivid time of year.

This session continues the Carnet de Voyage, adding an introduction to selecting and using a variety of paper, pencils, charcoals, pens, markers, inks, and, yes, even erasers!  Guidance will be provided to choose the appropriate supplies even if the names are in French.

Meeting Places

  • Musée de Montmartre
  • Parc Georges Brassens
  • Jardin de Luxembourg
  • Quais de Seine
  • Parc André Citroën
This course welcomes beginners and practiced artists who want to review and enhance their techniques...and how to save money on art supplies by choosing the materials that enhance and compliment your style.

Instructor: Jan Olsson holds a Masters Degree of Fine Arts in Drawing and is an engaging teacher with many years of experience. She is also a highly skilled practicing artist of many creative art forms who exhibits internationally.
