Two major exhibitions in Paris this spring will feature the expressive image of Romanticism: “L’ange du Bizarre: Le Romantisme Noir de Goya à Ernst” at the Orsay, and “L’Art Allemand entre Romantisme et Expressionisme” at the Louvre. The theme of the March/April series of Jan Olsson’s popular live model studio will feature the expressive image of the human body.

If you’ve always longed to draw from the figure, or if you think now’s the time and your ready to try, come and join the hard working, convivial group of beginners and more experienced artists that attend Jan Olsson’s Tuesday morning drawing sessions from the live model. Unlike studios that feature a model on a model stand with a towel and a stool, Jan’s models pose in her private studio with a variety of accessories assembled to create a visually interesting and stimulating composition. The goal of the class is to find creative solutions to working from the model, and to develop a unique form of expression for every participant, no matter what their level of experience.

Instructor: Jan Olsson holds a Master of Fine Arts in Drawing and is an engaging teacher with many years of experience teaching. She is also a highly skilled practicing artist who exhibits internationally. See the artist's website at http://janolssonart.com for more information and inspiration.
