A continuation of Jan Olsson’s Tuesday morning drawing session from the live model will continue in May/June with the theme of the  goddesses of ancient Greek mythology.   Included will be: Artemis, Aphrodite, Demeter, Persephone and Psyche. These were idealized feminine figures often associated with the seasons; their bounty and their beauty. Participants will be encouraged to study from the Louvre photographic reproductions and other artist’s interpretations of these well known beauties. Poses will incorporate some of the forms and fruits of nature and encourage narrative interpretations of the model. Come and join in the springtime cornucopia and “joie de vivre” in this always challenging and forever alluring creative pursuit. Beginners as well as more experienced artists are welcome.

Instructor: Jan Olsson holds a Master of Fine Arts in Drawing and is an engaging teacher with many years of experience.  She is also a highly skilled practicing artist who exhibits internationally.
