A beautiful vegetable terrine is the perfect dish for easy summer entertaining.  We’ll enjoy it with a lovely salad featuring an herbs de jardin vinaigrette.  A great advantage of a terrine is that it can be made in advance so you can enjoy time spent with your family and guests.  In this class, we will learn the secrets to preparing and decorating a lovely vegetable terrine.

Cake aux Olives is fantastic to have on hand for the aperitif.  It is a savory “cake” (as the French call it) featuring ham, green olives and cheese.  You’ll learn the secret ingredients that make this recipe one that your even your French friends will be asking you for.  For dessert, we will learn how to put together a lovely dried fruit compote that can be done quickly with ingredients you likely always have in your pantry.

Instructor: Françoise Meunier trained in the hotel and cooking school in Toulouse.  In 1997, she opened one of the first private cooking studios in Paris.  Her practical approach and easy-to-follow demonstrations will teach you how to reproduce delicious French and ethnic dishes at home.
