Or maybe you want to make your fiction dialogue more emotional, immediate, or dramatic?
Then this mini-plunge into playwriting is for you. In this 3-hour workshop, you will:
- cover the basic principles of playwriting
- put those principles to use on your own piece
- share your results (if you wish)
In particular, you’ll learn how to harness conflict and suspense in order to more deeply engage your readers/audience. You might even pick up a new trick or two.
And for those of you who write prose, these playwriting techniques can help make your fictional dialogue more immediate and emotional.
It will be a fun and supportive room, whether you have experience in theatrical writing or not. You’ll emerge with new or sharpened arrows in your writers’ quiver - perhaps even an unexpected dream for your vision board.
This course is also open to nonmember participants at a slightly higher cost, but a 3-month WICE membership is included.
