During this class we will practice Yin Yoga: It's a form of yoga based on Chinese medicine. Postures are held for several minutes without muscular engagement to compress articulations and organs and stimulate blood flow and lymph drainage in specific areas. It works on stress-release in the tendons, ligaments and fascia which leads to increased flexibility and a less reactive nervous system. It's great for athletes to complement their other activities, people who have trouble sitting still (because you are going to do that a lot), people with a lot of stress or who have tight / painful areas in the body, and those who would simply like to try a physical practice which is beneficial without being athletic or too demanding. For our first class together, Beth will bring sound bowls to accompany you in the practice, for an extra immersive experience!

Beth Jervis is a certified Vinyasa, Ashtanga, Yin and Yin resonance teacher. She runs the Imperfect Yoga Brunch club in Paris and regularly runs retreats in Paris around France and abroad in lovely places. Imperfect = Im perfect, right here, just as I am, and so are you!

Beth believes in pedagogy and intelligent class sequencing, diving deep into the self, but also diving back out again and enjoying good food, indulging and social time with others.
