Concluding the June walks that were slowed by the hot weather.

From the Mairie to the Rotonde, the final part of our walks in the 19th continues to trace the changing face of this part of town. It may have cleaned up its act, but there are still some grim tales to be told! We also locate some very different places of worship and education, catering to the needs of its changing populations.

The walk lasts about 1½ hours at a relaxed pace. There is a not-too-steep gradient and a few steps at the start, but is otherwise suitable for people who may be a little less mobile.

Deborah Hunter has lived near Paris since 2019. She is originally from Edinburgh, Scotland with a background in museums and culture. She enjoys exploring new places and sharing her knowledge with others, finding out about the social history, famous names and interesting buildings encountered along the way.
