Course Description: A one, two or three-part course on creative writing techniques and skills with the option of continuing all year with the same group. Learn about point of view, narrator and plot and how to find your 'voice' as a writer. Week by week and without time restraints we will cover these and many other topics central to improving your skills and winning over your reader. There will be ample opportunity too for sharing short pieces with other classmates (homework optional) and trying your own hand at specific techniques. Suitable for beginner or intermediate.

Instructor: Dr Gretel Furner. Oxford University. PhD on the modern novel, University of the Saarland, Germany. Assoc. Professor of German, George Washington University.  Instructor, the Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies. Since 2003 instructor at WICE in French Literature and History, the Migrant Soul series and Creative Writing.
