Long before art masters became great, some would turn to creating funerary art to make money.  A few of their creations included making jewel-like stained glass windows.  The masters knew that light can be colored, shaped, and bent beautifully as it passes through glass.

We will take a photographic expedition thru windows on the soul by visiting the Passy Cemetery. Students will seek out the very best art and make images
that capture these little gems as they are sprinkled throughout the site.

Students will pay particular attention to potential problems of working in a complex environment.  There is so much to see and photograph in Passy that it can be a little overwhelming.  We will also work on capturing colors "just right" by understanding and  using the color functions of your digital camera.

Instructor: Christopher Mark Perez is an internationally published photographer (LensWork, PhotoLife, Gimp, and SilverShotz Magazines, as well as several books of Steampunk creations) and competition winner (including The Strobist, and The Center for Fine Art Photography). Christopher recently moved to Paris to connect with creative people in the pursuit of making fine photographic images.
