Practice, practice, practice and everything will come”.

These wise words from the yogi Sri Krisha Patthabhi Jois apply as well to the apprenticeship of drawing as they do to yoga practice. Just as one’s goals in yoga are to set aside time to practice at one’s own level without comparison to others, so goes the process of learning to draw.

Jan Olsson’s Drawing Practice meets weekly in the intimacy of her private studio overlooking the Parc André Citroën. It is designed for beginners and for anyone desiring the structure of weekly meetings, inspiration and direction from a teacher, and the conviviality of practicing in a group. Beginning with relaxation and focus exercises, Drawing Practice will engage mind and spirit by putting pencil, chalk, charcoal, pen or brush to paper. With tools in hand, observing and drawing from nature and from one’s imagination awakens perception. As the world unfolds before your eyes, one page and one mark at a time, you will learn to draw and improve your skills and vision naturally. Come join us and enjoy the process as you learn to see.

Instructor: Jan Olsson holds a Master of Fine Arts in Drawing and is an engaging teacher with many years of experience teaching. She is also a highly skilled practicing artist who exhibits internationally.
