SM151 - Create your own Notebook Cover Design

At this weekend workshop we will embark on a visual adventure. Most people are users of paper notebooks in their daily life: Usually we carry one around with us in our bags to scribble down ideas and drawings, to illustrate concepts or simply to keep a list of our tasks and appointments. Thus, it is worthwhile to make sure that this daily object pleases our aesthetic taste.

In this workshop you will create your own personalized notebook cover that is both stylish and original. The instructor, Iveta Karpathyova, will guide you through the creative process from concept to final artwork which you can either keep for yourself or give as a gift to someone else. She will explore with you the resources for inspiration (e.g. by sharing great website addresses with you) and different approaches for diverse types of notebooks. You will learn to develop your ideas into concepts and sketches and to think outside the box by using supplies and finishing touches, such as embellishments, embroidery, photo collage, prints and stamps, tapes etc. This workshop aims to unleash your creativity and to be a source of inspiration for future art projects.
