Did you ever want to create your own hand-drawn patterns for clothing, decorative pillow cases, tote bags, or even gift wraps?

In this course you will learn how to transform your sketches into print-ready patterns. This course is designed for anyone who wants to bring a textile project to the next level.

The instructor, Iveta Karpathyova, will show you various ways to work with fabrics by teaching to you how to create motifs, designs and prints by using hand-drawn techniques. Moreover, you will explore layering, repeat patterns, and the bold graphic technique of block printing. You will leave the workshop with your own printed/ painted fabric samples.

Instructor: Iveta Karpathyova is a fashion illustrator, working with clients ranging from magazines to designers. She obtained her degree in Fashion Communications from Ryerson University in 2010. She is also a published artist with a background in color and beauty trend forecasting. See some of her work at http://www.ivetaka.com
