Are you stuck on "Automatic Mode?" What are all those other camera "modes"? How does ISO relate to shutter speed? What can you do with difficult light situations?

Get off your "A" and learn to Master Manual Mode.

This course explores in depth the manual mode factors of ISO, shutter speed and aperture then analyzes the interaction among them and when to use manual mode. Each class starts with an explanation of each element and continues with practical work in difficult lighting conditions. A review and suggestions follow.

Course Requirements: Participants need to bring a camera that can manually set ISO, shutter speed and aperture.

Instructor: Juan Manuel Abellán  graduated in advertising and completed his training as a photographer in Barcelona at the Institute of Design and Image (IDEP) where he worked with Italian photographer Luca Pagliari.

In London, Juan Manuel worked in Advertising agencies (Saatchi & Saatchi, McCann-Ericksson and Grey Worldwide) and in Paris where he became the assistant of photographers such as Laure Vasconi, Xavier Lucchesi and Ariadna Bufi, among others. He also worked for Daylight Photo Studio.

He then collaborated with Tendance Floue and the agency Magnum Photos. Juan Manuel currently lives and works in Paris as a freelance photographer.
