This "French family classics" course is perfect either for those new to French cooking or those more familiar.

Always a wealth of knowledge, our chef Françoise will help us learn how to buy a chicken at the market and where to take your mustard pot in Paris to be filled directly from the pump in the store. Her recipe for Poulet à la Moutarde en Terrine (oven baked mustard chicken) will be one you reach for over and over again.

Celery Root ~ We will discover some of the many ways to prepare this inexpensive, strange looking - but very tasty - root vegetable. To name just a few, pureed, diced and baked, or as a soup. The list goes on. And you will learn the tricks for how to safely carve and peel it!

What could be more classic than chocolate soufflés to end a lovely meal. They really are not as difficult as you might think.

Instructor: Françoise Meunier trained in the hotel and cooking school in Toulouse.  In 1997, she opened one of the first private cooking studios in Paris.  Her practical approach and easy-to-follow demonstrations will teach you how to reproduce delicious French and ethnic dishes at home.
