NEW ! AFTERNOON SESSION ADDED !
Wednesday, November 20
2:30 pm - 5:30 pm This "French family classics" course is perfect either for those new to French cooking or those more familiar. Always a wealth of knowledge, our chef Françoise will help us learn how to buy a chicken at the market and where to take your mustard pot in Paris to be filled directly from the pump in the store. Her recipe for Poulet à la Moutarde en Terrine (oven baked mustard chicken) will be one you reach for over and over again. Celery Root ~ We will discover some of the many ways to prepare this inexpensive, strange looking - but very tasty - root vegetable. To name just a few, pureed, diced and baked, or as a soup. The list goes on. And you will learn the tricks for how to safely carve and peel it! What could be more classic than chocolate soufflés to end a lovely meal. They really are not as difficult as you might think. Come and enjoy this menu of French family classics and learn how to prepare them for your family too. Instructor: Françoise Meunier trained in the hotel and cooking school in Toulouse. In 1997, she opened one of the first private cooking studios in Paris. Her practical approach and easy-to-follow demonstrations will teach you how to reproduce delicious French and ethnic dishes at home.
