Let expert, Allison Zinder, guide you through one of Paris's most vibrant and authentic outdoor markets, Marche dAligre, near the Bastille. An inspiring tour where youll learn to shop like a local for local produce, cheese, meats and more – and inspire your next cooking project. The visit includes a visit to a local bakery for a charcuterie tasting in the Marché Beauvau, and a cheese tasting of 5 to 6 seasonal cheeses.  You will wrap up your time together with a celebratory glass of wine.

The Marché d'Aligre is actually three markets: the Outdoor Marche d'Aligre, full of vibrant seasonal produce; the Covered Marché Beauvau, an architectural beauty that consists of three halls filled with a variety of food stalls, cheese shops, butchers shops and more; and, at the center of the quaint plaza is the Outdoor Antiques & Flea Market.

Did you know that both Henry Fonda and Gustaf V, King of Sweden, both were avid embroiderers??!! Yep, Fonda, in fact, loved how portable and relaxing hand-sewing was that he used to sew on film sets between takes. I have to say, that is why I love it too. Sometimes on long flights, I while away the time just stitching and listening to an audio book.

And any Pinterest or Etsy hipster will tell you that Fiber Arts is where it’s at. From crafting whimsical wall art to embellishing couture or making cloth holiday ornaments, embroidery is a great tool in any artist's or crafter's box. Nowadays you'll even find whimsical embroidery wall art in local boutiques – and more ornate timeless works in world-class museums and galleries.

This course will teach you the very basics in a fun, social, and relaxing atmosphere with textile artist, Rebecca Devaney . Think about all the wonderful ways you can apply embroidery technique, make it social, and even just develop your hand-sewing skills for practical use.

Space is still available, but sign-up soon!
